Lisbon

Lisbon is a vibrant city that feels like both a city and a beach vacation. I think the comparison to San Francisco is right, especially when you see the cable cars going up and down the steep hills, but hot. I love all the tile around the city and it can lead to fantastic finds, our trivet purchased from a small designer store off the beaten path is one of our most used possessions.

The food is great, definitely seafood forward, but the rich tradition of the local food is incredible. Though more than a little touristy, the Time Out Market is a great place to get a sneak peak across different foods.

Portuguese wine is some of my favorite, vinho verde just drinks like summer. A Ginjinha is Lisbon's famous traditional sour cherry liqueur, which is great to sit and sip in a hot square at night listening to the buskers.

We've only been as a couple which I think is a great way to do the city. I would imagine our daughter not loving walking down, and up, the hills like we like to do as we explore nooks and crannies by foot.
