Living on the Southern side of San Francisco, nothing has been more exciting than watching the area grow up over the last several years. Potrero, Dogpatch, Mission Bay have brought a lot of exciting things to our extended neighborhood. La Connessa is one of those. From the Spruce people, so you know they have the experience, comes an Italian that can feel great as a local or for a special occasion. A family favorite is the prosciutto because it comes with gnocco fritto - unfortunately this fried dough puff which we first discovered in Bologna has not made it onto very many Italian American restaurants - which is a delight. The pasta is always great and we love to share so that we can try so many different things. Pro tip: Louie's Original (burger joint) is also owned by the same group. If you want to get a more affordable kids menu, you can order from there with your server.
