A San Francisco institution directly on Market Street that definitely lives up to the hype. My favorite for lunch is the burger, on focaccia, with the shoe string fries. The chicken is worth the wait. The restaurant is always crowded and lively and as a San Franciscan I never know who I'm going to run into. Also, terrific wine list and great cocktails. Great to come for lunch on weekdays or late night to sneak into a table without a reservation.
