This is my hometown and one of my favorite places. Seattle is very much a place of neighborhoods, so expect to have to hub and spoke from where ever you put your home base. My favorite time of year in Seattle is August when the weather is beautiful, the lakes are warm, and everyone is outside. My favorite lake is Lake Washington which I love to access from Magnuson Park. The best lakeside drinking and dining is near gasworks where you get the view of the city. I spend a lot of time in North Seattle and going out in Ballard and Fremont give you so many options. Capital Hill is full of wonderful places.
